Parakeets love-making
This was my first outside test/practice with the new camera that we got for our Costa Rica trip.
I went down to Coldfall Wood in Muswell Hill, and approached some parakeets’ shrieks. It was so lucky that I was able to capture them in their most intimate moment. Something I never witnessed before, even though I see them all the time everywhere around London.
Unfortunately not all shots are focused or calibrated, and they weren’t shot in RAW, so these are unedited. I just think it shows a nice little story.
I find it funny to think that on the second photo the male’s pupil constricted, as if due to satisfaction, but it’s probably not the cause.

Costa Rica
A selection of our Costa Rica trip. All photos are unedited in terms of colour/contrast/filters. The only adjustment I applied in some are shadow and light scales. The camera itself does most of the calibration on the fly, so very little tinkering needing. As an amateur photographer this is fine for now, but I’d like gaining knowledge in improving this skill, too, so hopefully the quality of photos will improve with time.
Some landscape photos might seem mundane but I imagined them being painted, and that’s the reason I uploaded them.
I downscaled all photos here to save space in the site’s media library.
I intend to work out a way to sell these in prints. If you’re interested in getting some in full-size, watch this space.
No, unfortunately I did not manage to capture the resplendent quetzal :), but I did see them fly above us in Monteverde’s cloud forest trail.
Pictures are mainly from San Jose, Monteverde, and Tamarindo area.
I randomised the order, so every time you load in this page the order will be scrambled.
