Here you can see my pastel art, which I started experimenting with in early 2025. After a couple of test-runs with different quality papers and pencils, I invested in the best quality tools to see how well I could harvest its potential.
My first serious test was this smaller piece of the dressed-up doggy with the red scarf below. After completing it, I felt like I had discovered something divine. The level of control, satisfaction and no-fuss approach that dry pastel pencil allows is exactly what I needed in my art.
The second piece was the cat next to it. Again, I put a lot of care into that piece, to test the boundaries of what pastel allows – mainly how realistic and detailed I could push it. The result amazed me once again.
A few more practice pieces followed before I started getting commissions.
The last one is my latest – and largest so far – piece, which I had the honor of creating for a commission, completed in May 2026.
I’d like to test pastels on landscape art and maybe plants and flowers, but it’s not a priority at the moment.

Here I share the original of my latest and largest commission I have made so far. The board the client commissioned is an XL – 50x70cm size. I decided to cut the lower part of the body for a more suitable portrait composition. This also allowed me to work on the face in great details.
