Initially I wasn’t even gonna make this “About” page, due to cringe. I much rather just share snippets of info about myself throughout the pages and posts on this site, and in an upcoming blog, but let’s do this professionally. 🙂
Hello! First of all, some might have picked up that my English can be slightly broken here and there. That’s because it is my second language, which was mostly self-taught (only learned the very basics in school). (I will get into this more once I create the book section on this site.)
I’m from Hungary, and even though I lived in the Netherlands for 100 days in 2009 and in Bristol for 10 month in 2011, my main emigration was at the end of 2012 when I left for London, and I have been here ever since (probably not for much longer (I yearn for less hecticness and more nature)).
Started as an agency worker, as of now a manager of a small hotel.
Currently residing in Muswell Hill area which is lovely. That is probably the nicest place I lived in so far in London (out of 5 different areas), but Enfield Island Village was a close second.
My art education was similar to my English education: I learned some things in primary school (age 6 to 14) but it was mostly self-taught. Experiments, lots of practice, doodles and copying things made me better over the years, and a big jump in progress when I discovered digital art later, which you can read about in the Art section now.
I would say my big brother was a first inspiration when I was little, as he was a graffiti artist back then, and would amaze me with his random sketches of characters. A close second was the Spawn comics by Todd McFarlane. I was around 10, before we hit the millennia, but I might have started copying before that.
Nevertheless I would always be amazed by cool art, be it classics or modern, movies or videogames, comics, museums, tattoos, murals. You can say I’m drawn to it 🙂
I have not done digital art in a long time, and with the emergence of AI, I’m fine with that decision. Better concentrate on traditional art while the robots are still a bit away from being able to create them.
The other reason is that when the automatic Windows update came, my digital drawing pad would not have a new driver for it, and the company could not bother making a new driver, therefore it became obsolete. Pair it with the high price of photoshop subscription… Simple art creation should not cost a fortune…(I rather just grab a ballpoint pen and a piece of cardboard.)
Another reason is that traditional creation feels more relaxing; the pencil/paint touching the paper/canvas, the sound it makes, it’s easier for the eye and you can do it wherever.. It’s therapeutic.
I have many interests, but I started studying combined science this year which interests me immensely enough that it is high in my priority list. Practicing Benjamin Franklin’s 13 virtues, as well as (going through) the Daily Stoic meditations – by Ryan Holiday.
I appreciate bird (photography) watching and other nature observations, philosophy, and continuously reading multiple books (mostly non-fiction nowadays). Thanks to my two favourite bookstores in Muswell Hill: Oxfam, and House of Books!

Ps.: If you are wondering why I don’t have Instagram: In short: I “got in the game” too late, when the algorithm already changed to favor short video formats. I did start and upload some drawings years ago, before the change, and got some likes and followers, but I wasn’t pushing it, and I wasn’t consistent. When I decided to both push it and be consistent and kept up for a few months, I was getting literally zero attention on each piece, so after a while I cut my losses and never went back. Not sure if it’s worth pursuing that site anymore with the extremely high competition and short video formats, and the flood of AI content…
